An abattoir investigation of the subclinical abomasal ulcers in cows and sheep in Urmia, west Azerbaijan

Abstract
Frequency, percentage and types of abomasal ulcer in different ages and genders were investigated in 326 cows and 569 sheep in Urmia abattoir in 2011-12. The males and females cows and sheep were 212, 114, 178 and 391, respectively. Overall, 29.2% of cows and 13.3% of sheep showed ulcer in the abomasum (P4 years in cows was 35.8%, 11.6%, 17.8%, 25.3%, 9.5% and sheep was 3.5%, 12.8%, 33.9%, 34.1% and 54.1%, respectively.
